We are looking to organise and promote more local support groups

The aim was to bring together a group of people, those who have diabetes or family members with diabetes as well as healthcare professionals who share a common goal of improving Diabetes services in Cambridgeshire.

We are particularly interested in enrolling people who are enthusiastic about improving local services and who are willing to sacrifice some of their spare time in order to do so. You do not necessarily need to have Diabetes in order to join.

The aims and objectives are:

1. The promotion and protection of the health of people with diabetes in Cambridgeshire, through the provision of support, education and practical advice both in local surgeries and hospitals;

and

2. To advance the education of the general public in Cambridgeshire relating to diabetes.

3. No individual will pay any form of membership fee to belong to a local group, but donations to DIABETES UK wil be accepted.
